Breathing in Confinement \u2013 At dawn on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, the death sentences of at least three prisoners convicted of drug-related charges were carried out in Vakilabad Prison, Mashhad.<\/p>\n

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, the executions took place early on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in Mashhad Central Prison. The identities of the executed prisoners have been confirmed as: Abdolghafar Barahouei (Lajei), Parviz Dastkaleh (Lajei), and Abdolsamad Gorgij.<\/p>\n

As reported by Breathing in Confinement, citing Haalvsh, Abdolghafar Barahouei (Lajei), aged 47, and Parviz Dastkaleh (Nooraldin Lajei), aged 40, both sons of Mohammad from Zahedan, were arrested in a joint case in 2021 on drug-related charges and later sentenced to death. Abdolsamad Gorgij (Rigi), aged 39, son of Molla Babaddin and a resident of Zahedan\u2019s Bazaar Moshtarak, was arrested in 2021 on similar charges and also sentenced to death. The executions were carried out at dawn on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in Vakilabad Prison, Mashhad.<\/p>\n
