Breathing in Confinement \u2013 At dawn on Thursday, 1 May 2025, the death sentence of a female prisoner convicted of \u201cmurder\u201d was carried out.<\/p>\n
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, the execution took place early Thursday morning, 1 May 2025. The prisoner was identified as Saghar.<\/p>\n
Citing Rokna, Breathing in Confinement reported that Saghar, who had been arrested six years ago in Kamalshahr, Karaj, for allegedly murdering her husband after drugging him during a dispute, was executed following her conviction and death sentence.<\/p>\n
