In the early hours of Wednesday, 7 May 2025, the death sentence of at least one prisoner convicted on drug-related charges was carried out at Karaj Central Prison.<\/p>\n

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, a prisoner was hanged at dawn on Wednesday in Ghezel Hesar Prison. His identity has been confirmed as Rouhollah Moradian.<\/p>\n

The report states that Rouhollah Moradian, a resident of Kuhdasht, had previously been arrested and sentenced to death on charges related to drug offences. His execution was carried out at Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj on the morning of Wednesday, 7 May 2025.<\/p>\n
