At dawn on Wednesday, 14 May 2025, the death sentence of at least one prisoner convicted of \u201cmurder\u201d was carried out in Urmia Central Prison.<\/p>\n

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, one prisoner was hanged in the early hours of Wednesday, 14 May, in Urmia Prison. The identity of the executed prisoner has been confirmed as Moshir Osmandzadeh.<\/p>\n

According to the report, Moshir Osmandzadeh, son of Fariq, married and a resident of Urmia, had been arrested four years ago on charges of murder and sentenced to death. His sentence was carried out at dawn on Wednesday, 14 May, in Urmia Central Prison.<\/p>\n
