Breathing in Confinement<\/strong> \u2013 At dawn on Thursday, 15 May 2025, the death sentence of at least one female prisoner was carried out in Tehran Prison.<\/p>\n

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, a female prisoner was hanged in Tehran Prison in the early hours of Thursday, 15 May. Her identity has been confirmed as Hafizeh Balochzehi by the Breathing in Confinement team.<\/p>\n

According to the report, Hafizeh Balochzehi, a 25-year-old woman from Saravan, had previously been arrested and sentenced to death. Her charges are unknown. Her execution was carried out without notifying her family and without the right to a final visit, in the early hours of Thursday, 15 May, in Tehran Prison.<\/p>\n
