Breathing in Confinement<\/strong> \u2013 At dawn on Monday, 19 May 2025, the death sentence of at least one prisoner previously sentenced to death was carried out in Adelabad Prison, Shiraz.<\/p>\n

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, a prisoner was hanged in the early hours of Monday, 19 May, in Adelabad Prison, Shiraz. The prisoner has been identified as Alireza Zare\u00a0by the Breathing in Confinement team.<\/p>\n

According to the report, Alireza Zare, son of Ne’mat and a resident of Shiraz, had previously been arrested on charges of \u201cassault\u201d and was sentenced to death by the Criminal Court of Fars Province. The sentence was carried out in the early hours of Monday, 19 May, in Shiraz Central Prison.<\/p>\n
