The individual had previously been arrested and sentenced to death on charges of \u201cmurder.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"386\" data-end=\"625\">According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners&#8217; Rights League in Iran, a prisoner named <strong data-start=\"501\" data-end=\"521\">Mahmoud Shirvani<\/strong> was executed at Kahnuj Prison early Sunday morning. His identity has been verified by the organisation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"627\" data-end=\"809\">According to the report, <strong data-start=\"652\" data-end=\"672\">Mahmoud Shirvani<\/strong>, a resident of Kahnuj, had been arrested and sentenced to death for \u201cmurder.\u201d The sentence was carried out in the early hours of Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>No official report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by official resources.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
