The official report did not disclose the identities of the executed individuals.<\/p>\n<p>However, Breathing in Confinement has verified the identities of two of the executed prisoners as Alireza Eshterak and Mohammad Eshterak, whose transfer to solitary confinement ahead of execution was reported yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Alireza Eshterak, son of Yaqub, and Mohammad Eshterak, son of Mahmoud\u2014both from Qareh Tappeh village, a district of Aq Qala\u2014had been arrested three years ago on charges of rape and kidnapping. Local sources indicate that the two were accused of abducting and raping two girls. However, the complainants later withdrew their complaints and granted legal pardon.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the victims\u2019 consent and withdrawal of charges, the Golestan Provincial Criminal Court issued death sentences for both men, citing the \u201cpublic aspect of the crime\u201d as justification for the ruling.<\/p>\n<p>All three prisoners reportedly had their final visitations with family members the day before the execution.
