Breathing in Confinement<\/strong> \u2013 At least one prisoner sentenced to death for \u201cmurder\u201d has been transferred to solitary confinement in Sari Prison in preparation for the execution.<\/p>\n According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, on Monday, 28 July 2025, a prisoner was transferred to solitary confinement in Tirkel\u0101 Prison in Sari to await execution. The prisoner has been identified by Breathing in Confinement as Mohammad Shabest\u0101n.<\/strong><\/p>\n Mohammad Shabest\u0101n had previously been arrested and sentenced to death on charges of \u201cmurder\u201d. His transfer to solitary confinement is considered an indication that his execution may be imminent.
