30 July 2025<\/strong> Breathing in Confinement<\/strong> \u2013 The death sentence of at least one prisoner, who had been arrested and sentenced to death on the charge of murder, was carried out in Adelabad Prison in Shiraz.<\/p>\n According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at dawn on Wednesday, 30 July 2025, a prisoner was executed in Shiraz Prison. The identity of the prisoner, Reza Salehi,<\/strong> has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.<\/p>\n Reza Salehi had previously been arrested on charges of murder and sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out on the morning of Wednesday, 30 July 2025, in Shiraz Central Prison.<\/p>\n \n No official report<\/strong><\/p>\n As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by official resources.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
