The identity of the prisoner,<strong> Seyed Morteza (Pouria) Khorrami,<\/strong> has been verified by Breathing in Confinement.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"693\" data-end=\"968\">Seyed Morteza (Pouria) Khorrami, son of Seyed Mostafa and a resident of Kangavar, was arrested two years ago on charges of killing a police officer and sentenced to death. The execution was carried out on the morning of Tuesday, 22 July 2025, in Dizelabad Prison, Kermanshah.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>No official report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by official resources.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
