4 August 2025<\/strong> According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, on Monday, 4 August 2025, three inmates were moved to solitary confinement in Isfahan Central Prison ahead of their execution. The identities of these prisoners \u2013 Ali Rajaei, Reza Sharifzadeh, <\/strong>and Mojtaba Izadi<\/strong> \u2013 have been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.<\/p>\n The three men had previously been arrested and sentenced to death in separate cases, all on charges related to drug offences.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
