18 August 2025<\/strong> According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, on the morning of Monday, 18 August, one prisoner was hanged at Khorramabad Central Prison. His identity has been confirmed as Ali Omidi-Moghaddam<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Ali Omidi-Moghaddam, from Veysan in Lorestan Province, had previously been arrested following a conflict that resulted in \u201cmurder\u201d and was sentenced to death. The execution was carried out at dawn on Monday, 18 August 2025, at Khorramabad Central Prison.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n No official report<\/strong><\/p>\n As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by official resources.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
