His identity has been confirmed by this human rights organisation as <strong data-start=\"637\" data-end=\"658\">Majid Pour Eshagh<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"663\" data-end=\"991\">Majid Pour Eshagh, from Bandar Abbas, had previously been arrested on a charge of \u201cmurder\u201d and sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Tuesday, 19 August 2025, in Bandar Abbas Central Prison. The news of his execution had earlier been reported with incomplete identification, which is now corrected.<\/p>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by official resources.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
