The “Tuesdays Against Execution” campaign is not merely a protest movement but the collective echo of political prisoners who, despite imprisonment, torture, and repression, continue each week to break through prison walls to send the cry for freedom and the right to life to the world.

Today, this campaign has reached its eighty-third consecutive week and continues in 50 prisons nationwide. It is a clear sign of the determination that stands firm against the machinery of death. The joining of prisoners in Dehdasht Prison once again shows that no prisoner and no citizen in Iran is safe from the threat of state executions. In just the past month, 166 people were hanged. In the past week alone, 31 of our fellow citizens, including one woman, were executed, with two victims hanged in public in Kordkuy and Beyrom, Larestan.
