Breathing in Confinement also <strong data-start=\"929\" data-end=\"943\">apologises<\/strong> for having previously named <strong data-start=\"972\" data-end=\"994\">Hassan-Ali Yousefi<\/strong>; he was subsequently returned to the ward.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1039\" data-end=\"1366\">Case details indicate that <strong data-start=\"1066\" data-end=\"1082\">Kazem Fatemi<\/strong> had been arrested for allegedly carrying <strong data-start=\"1124\" data-end=\"1164\">12 kg of methamphetamine (\u201cshisheh\u201d)<\/strong> and sentenced to death. <strong data-start=\"1189\" data-end=\"1208\">Hossein Biabani<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1213\" data-end=\"1232\">Ahmad-Ali Mehri<\/strong> had also been arrested and sentenced to death on drug-related charges. The executions were carried out at dawn on <strong data-start=\"1347\" data-end=\"1365\">27 August 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>No official report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of these prisoners has not been announced by official resources.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
