They protested against the failure to implement pension equalisation properly, severe livelihood difficulties, injustice inflicted upon them, and delays in payment of their dues. Protesters chanted slogans including: <em data-start=\"779\" data-end=\"836\">\u201cWe will fight, we will die, we will claim our rights,\u201d<\/em> <em data-start=\"837\" data-end=\"883\">\u201cThey looted Social Security and ruined us,\u201d<\/em> <em data-start=\"884\" data-end=\"915\">\u201cWe don\u2019t want useless laws,\u201d<\/em> <em data-start=\"916\" data-end=\"953\">\u201cImprisoned workers must be freed,\u201d<\/em> <em data-start=\"954\" data-end=\"1000\">\u201cOur demands are livelihood and healthcare,\u201d<\/em> <em data-start=\"1001\" data-end=\"1071\" data-is-only-node=\"\">\u201cTheir slogan is Hussein, their practice is theft,\u201d<\/em> and <em data-start=\"1076\" data-end=\"1126\">\u201cWarmongering is enough \u2014 our tables are empty.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1130\" data-end=\"1474\">\n<p data-start=\"1132\" data-end=\"1474\"><strong data-start=\"1132\" data-end=\"1159\">Steel and mine retirees<\/strong> in Isfahan, Kerman, and Mazandaran also gathered to protest against the failure to implement pension equalisation, worsening economic hardship, injustice, and delayed payments. Steel retirees in Isfahan chanted: <em data-start=\"1372\" data-end=\"1415\">\u201cHey, president, you lied to the nation,\u201d<\/em> and <em data-start=\"1420\" data-end=\"1472\">\u201cWe are united, we demand nothing but our rights.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1476\" data-end=\"1752\">\n<p data-start=\"1478\" data-end=\"1752\"><strong data-start=\"1478\" data-end=\"1513\">Buyers of imported Changan cars<\/strong> gathered in front of the Office of Marketing and Sales. They objected to lack of transparency in final pricing, one-sided contracts, denial of the right to complain, and delays in delivery despite full payment made three months earlier.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1754\" data-end=\"2178\">\n<p data-start=\"1756\" data-end=\"2178\"><strong data-start=\"1756\" data-end=\"1825\">Third-party contract workers of the Gachsaran Oil and Gas Company<\/strong> marched in protest against pay discrimination and repeated broken promises by officials. They demanded the elimination of contracting companies, equalisation of pay with permanent employees, and conversion to permanent contracts. Protesters chanted: <em data-start=\"2076\" data-end=\"2121\">\u201cWe will not stop until we win our rights,\u201d<\/em> and <em data-start=\"2126\" data-end=\"2176\">\u201cWorkers are awake, they reject discrimination.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2180\" data-end=\"2374\">\n<p data-start=\"2182\" data-end=\"2374\"><strong data-start=\"2182\" data-end=\"2226\">Orchard owners and farmers in Falavarjan<\/strong> gathered in front of the county governor\u2019s office to protest the lack of allocated irrigation water rights and the risk of their trees drying up.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2376\" data-end=\"2654\">\n<p data-start=\"2378\" data-end=\"2654\"><strong data-start=\"2378\" data-end=\"2447\">Medical, dental, and pharmacy graduates from foreign universities<\/strong> also staged a protest. They objected to professional limbo, denial of employment, and exclusion from national examinations. Their main slogan was: <em data-start=\"2595\" data-end=\"2652\">\u201cWe will stand, we will die, we will claim our rights.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2656\" data-end=\"2763\">\n<p data-start=\"2658\" data-end=\"2763\"><strong data-start=\"2658\" data-end=\"2713\">Students of Pars University of Art and Architecture<\/strong> gathered to protest a 53% hike in tuition fees.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2765\" data-end=\"3023\">\n<p data-start=\"2767\" data-end=\"3023\"><strong data-start=\"2767\" data-end=\"2807\">Parents of students in Anar (Kerman)<\/strong> gathered and marched in front of the Department of Education, protesting against the failure to implement the ministry\u2019s directive to vacate the department\u2019s building and hand it over to the technical high school.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3025\" data-end=\"3242\">\n<p data-start=\"3027\" data-end=\"3242\"><strong data-start=\"3027\" data-end=\"3081\">Drivers of municipal rental agencies in Kermanshah<\/strong> gathered in front of the governor\u2019s office, protesting against low wages, lack of job security, illegal dismissals, and neglect of their professional demands.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>31 August 2025News group: Uncategorised &ndash;Breathing in Confinement &ndash; At least fourteen protest gatherings and demonstrations were held by various groups of people across the country.
