In parallel, at least 19 other demonstrations and protests were reported across various parts of the country.<\/p>\n<p>According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, political prisoners in their statement condemned the widespread and ongoing wave of executions, calling it a \u201cclear violation of fundamental human rights\u201d and a tool for \u201cbloody repression of the people and silencing the voices of freedom and justice.\u201d They stressed:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are approaching the 40th day since the cowardly execution of Mehdi Hassani and Behrooz Ehsani; two political prisoners whose families, after 36 days, still do not know where they are buried. This act is nothing but enforced disappearance and torture of grieving families, and is part of the ongoing pattern of human rights violations in Iran.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The campaign was held in the following prisons: Evin, Ghezel Hesar (Units 3 &amp; 4), Karaj Central, Fardis Karaj, Greater Tehran, Qarchak, Khorrin Varamin, Choobindar Qazvin, Ahar, Arak, Khorramabad, Yasuj, Esfahan Asadabad, Dastgerd Esfahan, Sheiban Ahvaz, Sepidar Ahvaz (men\u2019s &amp; women\u2019s wards), Nezam Shiraz, Adel Abad Shiraz (men\u2019s &amp; women\u2019s wards), Firouzabad Fars, Dehdasht, Zahedan (women\u2019s ward), Borazjan, Ramhormoz, Behbahan, Bam, Yazd, Kahnouj, Tabas, Mashhad, Gonbad-e Kavous, Qaemshahr, Rasht (men\u2019s &amp; women\u2019s wards), Roudsar, Haviq Talesh, Azborom Lahijan, Dizel Abad Kermanshah, Ardabil, Tabriz, Urmia, Salmas, Khoy, Naqadeh, Miandoab, Mahabad, Boukan, Saqqez, Baneh, Mariwan, Sanandaj, Kamyaran, and Langarud Qom.<\/p>\n<p>Families of political prisoners sentenced to death also joined the 84th-week hunger strike of prisoners with a protest gathering, calling for the immediate abolition of the sentences and urging public support for the \u201cTuesdays Against Execution\u201d campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Other protests on the same day included:<br \/>\n\u2022 Literacy Movement staff gathered in front of the Ministry of Education, chanting: \u201cWhere is justice? Recruitment is our right\u201d and demanding employment security and recognition of their teaching service.<br \/>\n\u2022 Education retirees of 2024 protested in front of the Ministry of Education over the non-payment of the second phase of salary equalisation.<br \/>\n\u2022 National, military, and social security retirees in Kermanshah protested low pensions, inequality, poor living conditions, poverty, inflation, and rising costs. They demanded higher pensions, welfare services, and free healthcare. Protesters chanted: \u201cOur rights are won only in the streets,\u201d \u201cUnity against tyranny and corruption,\u201d \u201cIran is wealthy\u2014what happened to you?\u201d and \u201cWater, electricity, life\u2014our fundamental rights.\u201d<br \/>\n\u2022 Workers at Fajr Jam Gas Refinery, Pars Gas Complex Site 1 (Asaluyeh), Site 2 (Kangan), POGC\u2019s 40 offshore platforms, Razi Petrochemical, Aghajari Oil &amp; Gas Production Company, National Drilling Company in Ahvaz and Gachsaran, Pars South Gas Complex (2nd &amp; 7th refineries and the central Mahdavi building), and Laavan Island oil &amp; gas workers, all staged protests demanding full payment of wages, removal of wage caps, full severance pay, cancellation of unlawful pension deductions, reimbursement of illegally withheld taxes, and full implementation of Article 10.
