The identity of this prisoner, <strong>\u201cAmir Hossein Hemmati,\u201d<\/strong> has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement. The day before, <em data-start=\"649\" data-end=\"675\">Breathing in Confinement<\/em> had reported his transfer to solitary confinement in preparation for the execution.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"763\" data-end=\"979\">Amir Hossein Hemmati, 24, a resident of Anbarabad, had previously been arrested on the charge of \u201cmurder\u201d and sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Monday, 15 September 2025, in Jiroft Prison.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>No official report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by official sources.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
