The identity of this prisoner has been confirmed by <em data-start=\"708\" data-end=\"734\">Breathing in Confinement<\/em> but is being withheld.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"761\" data-end=\"951\">The prisoner had previously been arrested on the charge of \u201cmurder\u201d and sentenced to death. At the time of reporting, efforts to obtain consent from the victim\u2019s family were still ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
