The identity of this prisoner, <strong>\u201cAhmad Hashemi,\u201d<\/strong> has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"639\" data-end=\"868\">Ahmad Hashemi, from Malekan, had been arrested in 2024 on the charge of murdering his brother-in-law, Rasul Kheiri, and sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Tuesday, 16 September 2025, in Miandoab Prison.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>No official report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by official sources.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
