The identity of this prisoner, <strong>\u201cHossein Mousavi,<\/strong>\u201d has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"731\" data-end=\"936\">Hossein Mousavi, 31, from Abadan, had been arrested seven years ago on drug-related charges and sentenced to death. His sentence was carried out at dawn on Sunday, 21 September 2025, in Gachsaran Prison.<\/p>\n<p><strong>No official report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by official sources.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
