The identities of the prisoners, <strong data-start=\"509\" data-end=\"526\">Ali Keshavarz<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"531\" data-end=\"550\">Ahmad Bakhtiari<\/strong>, have been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"604\" data-end=\"960\">Ali Keshavarz, from Shiraz, had previously been arrested on charges related to the transport of narcotics and sentenced to death. Ahmad Bakhtiari (known as \u201cTaghi Ghasab\u201d), from Isfahan, had previously been arrested on a charge of \u201cmurder\u201d and sentenced to death. Their sentences were carried out at dawn on Wednesday, 24 September 2025, in Isfahan Prison.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>No official report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of these prisoners has not been announced by official sources.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
