The identity of the prisoner, <strong data-start=\"502\" data-end=\"518\">Ali Garavand<\/strong>, has been verified by Breathing in Confinement.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"570\" data-end=\"782\"><strong data-start=\"570\" data-end=\"586\">Ali Garavand<\/strong>, 28, from Kuhdasht, had been arrested nine years ago on drug-related charges and sentenced to death. His sentence was carried out at dawn on Wednesday, 1 October 2025, in Ghezel Hesar Prison.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"570\" data-end=\"782\">\n<p><strong>No official report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by official sources.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
