Their identities \u2014 <strong data-start=\"479\" data-end=\"502\">Mohammad Soltanpour<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"507\" data-end=\"532\">Jahanbakhsh Rakhshani<\/strong> \u2014 have been verified by Breathing in Confinement.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"556\" data-end=\"805\"><strong data-start=\"556\" data-end=\"579\">Mohammad Soltanpour<\/strong>, from Shiraz, and <strong data-start=\"598\" data-end=\"623\">Jahanbakhsh Rakhshani<\/strong>, a Baluch citizen, had previously been arrested on drug-related charges and sentenced to death. Their sentences were carried out at dawn on Sunday, 5 October 2025, in Shiraz Prison.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>No official report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of these prisoners has not been announced by official sources.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
