7 October 2025<\/strong> Breathing in Confinement \u2013<\/strong> The death sentence of at least one prisoner convicted of drug-related offences was carried out in Ghezel Hesar Prison.<\/p>\n According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, in the early hours of Tuesday, 7 October 2025, a prisoner was executed by hanging in Ghezel Hesar Prison. The executed man has been identified as Ali (surname unknown)<\/strong>, known as \u201cAli Siah<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n Ali Siah, from Tehran, had previously been arrested on drug-related charges and sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Tuesday, 7 October 2025, in Ghezel Hesar Prison.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n No official report<\/strong><\/p>\n As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by official sources.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
