This protest coincides with the nationwide \u201cTuesdays for No to Executions\u201d campaign, in which political prisoners from more than 52 prisons across the country are participating.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"630\" data-end=\"1025\">According to reports received by Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, the protesting prisoners have refused their daily meals to denounce the unjust death sentences and the inhumane conditions prevailing in prisons. Through this peaceful act of resistance, they have raised their voices against violations of the right to life and human dignity.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1027\" data-end=\"1546\">Sources from <em data-start=\"1040\" data-end=\"1066\">Breathing in Confinement<\/em> report that the condition of several prisoners has deteriorated. Among them, the nephew of <strong>Ali Ahmadi Zahedi<\/strong> \u2014 himself a death-row inmate \u2014 is said to be in a critical state. Despite the alarming situation, prison authorities have refused to transfer him to the infirmary or provide essential medical care. Such negligence, under both international human-rights standards and Iran\u2019s own domestic laws, constitutes a clear violation of the right to life and the right to health.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1548\" data-end=\"1944\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Breathing in Confinement expresses deep concern for the health and safety of the hunger-striking prisoners and once again calls for the immediate halt of all executions, an end to the policy of death, and unconditional respect for the human dignity of all detainees.
