Their identities have been identified by Breathing in Confinement as Majid Hatami, Sajjad Hatami, and Amir-Reza Ghobadi. On Saturday, 11 October, the outlet reported that the trio had been transferred to solitary confinement ahead of execution.

Sources indicate that Majid Hatami (26), the father of a young son, Sajjad Hatami, and Amir-Reza Ghobadi, all from Kuhdasht, were arrested about a year ago in a joint case on charges of armed robbery. Majid and Sajjad are reported to be paternal cousins, and Amir-Reza Sajjad’s nephew.
