Breathing in Confinement \u2013<\/strong> Eight citizens and political activists from Javanrud and Sarpol-e Zahab have been summoned to the Enforcement of Judgments office of the Kermanshah judiciary to begin serving their prison terms.<\/p>\n

According to Breathing in Confinement<\/em>, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, those summoned are: Yasin Azami<\/strong> (son of Aziz, 26), Moein Khodadadi<\/strong> (son of Osman, 35), Yasin Shahsavari<\/strong> (son of Mansour, 28), Farid Moradi<\/strong> (son of Saleh, 28), Yasin Ramazani-Zadeh<\/strong> (son of Mohammad, 29) \u2014 all from Javanrud \u2014 and Heyman Palani Jafi<\/strong> (son of Abdollah, 28), Erfan Moradi<\/strong> (son of Sattar, 24) and Peiman Babaei<\/strong> (son of Mohammad, 31) from Sarpol-e Zahab.<\/p>\n

Based on the information received, in a joint case approximately four years ago, Branch 1 of the Kermanshah Revolutionary Court<\/strong>, presided over by Judge Navid Sahraei<\/strong>, convicted each of the eight on charges of \u201cmembership in groups opposed to the state\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cassembly and collusion with intent to act against national security,\u201d<\/strong> sentencing each to two years and six months\u2019 imprisonment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

After the defendants appealed, the case was reviewed by Branch 14 of the Kermanshah Court of Appeal<\/strong>, presided over by Judge Salman Bahonar<\/strong>; however, notwithstanding the arguments and evidence submitted by the defendants, the lower court\u2019s verdict was upheld in full<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to the summons issued by the Kermanshah Enforcement of Judgments office, these eight citizens must present themselves to the prison on Saturday, 18 October 2025<\/strong>, to begin serving their sentences.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
