The identity of the executed prisoner, <strong>Sasan Lorestani,<\/strong> has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran.<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, Lorestani, a resident of Darakeh village, Mahidasht, had previously been arrested on charges of \u201cmurder\u201d and sentenced to death. His sentence was carried out at dawn on 22 October 2025 in Kermanshah Prison.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>No official report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by official sources.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
