5 November 2025<\/strong> Breathing in Confinement \u2013<\/strong> The death sentences of at least two prisoners who had previously been arrested on charges of \u201cmurder\u201d and drug-related offences and sentenced to death were carried out in Shiraz Prison.<\/p>\n According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, two prisoners were hanged at dawn on Wednesday, 5 November 2025, in Shiraz Prison. The identities of the prisoners, \u201cHabib Zare\u201d <\/strong>and \u201cFayez Abusheh\u201d<\/strong>, have been verified by Breathing in Confinement.<\/p>\n Habib Zare, a resident of Marvdasht, had previously been arrested and sentenced to death on a charge of \u201cmurder\u201d. Fayez Abusheh, from Bandar Pol, had previously been arrested and sentenced to death on drug-related charges. The execution was carried out at dawn on Wednesday, 5 November 2025, in Shiraz Prison.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n No official report<\/strong><\/p>\n As of the time of this report, the execution of these prisoners has not been announced by official sources.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
