The identity of this prisoner, <strong>Shamseddin Abbasi Kai<\/strong>, has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.<\/p>\n<p>Shamseddin Abbasi (Shahab), son of Badrkhan Beyg, 51, from the village of Kai, had been arrested two years earlier on charges related to \u201cdrug offences\u201d and sentenced to death. The issued sentence was carried out at dawn on Friday, 7 November 2025, in Urmia Prison.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>No official report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by official sources.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
