27 November 2025<\/strong> Breathing in Confinement \u2013<\/strong> The death sentence of at least one prisoner who had previously been arrested on charges related to \u201cdrug offences\u201d and sentenced to death has been carried out in Mashhad Prison.<\/p>\n According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at dawn on Thursday, 27 November 2025, a prisoner was hanged in Mashhad Prison. The identity of the prisoner, Mohsen Azizfarrokhani<\/strong>, has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.<\/p>\n Mohsen Azizfarrokhani, known as \u201cMohsen Kordeh,\u201d from Mashhad, had previously been arrested on charges of possessing and transporting 700 grams of drugs and was sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Thursday, 27 November 2025, in Mashhad Prison.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n No official report<\/strong><\/p>\n As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by official sources.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
