29 November 2025<\/strong> Breathing in Confinement \u2013<\/strong> A prisoner who had been arrested around twenty years ago on the charge of \u201ctheft\u201d and sentenced to imprisonment has died in Kermanshah Prison as a result of inadequate access to medical care.<\/p>\n According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, on Saturday, 29 November 2025, a prisoner died in Kermanshah Prison due to delayed medical attention. The identity of the prisoner, Nader Jameh-Shorani<\/strong>, has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.<\/p>\n Nader Jameh-Shorani, son of Moradali, from the village of Jameh-Shoran in Kermanshah Province, suffered a stroke after enduring two decades of imprisonment. However, according to reports, prison authorities delayed his transfer to a medical facility and failed to provide necessary medical care in time. Their late and insufficient action proved ineffective, and he passed away.<\/p>\n Under international human-rights standards, including the United Nations Standard Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prisoners (the Nelson Mandela Rules)<\/strong>, states are obligated to ensure the health, safety, and dignity of prisoners.
