The identity of the prisoner, <strong data-start=\"638\" data-end=\"653\">Omid Jahani<\/strong>, has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"706\" data-end=\"1054\">Omid Jahani, from Behne\u00admir in Babolsar County, was an ordinary (non-political) prisoner who had been under psychological pressure and held in poor prison conditions. Due to the absence of supportive services, psychological care, and essential medical attention, he was not provided timely treatment after his suicide attempt and consequently died.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1056\" data-end=\"1747\">The lack of psychological-support mechanisms, inadequate healthcare services, and harsh, inhumane prison conditions are major factors contributing to the high risk of suicide among prisoners.
