The identities of the executed prisoners have been confirmed as <strong data-start=\"785\" data-end=\"875\">Mehdi Javanmardi, Amir Nazari, Hamed Hanifeh, Ali Sayeh-Afkan, and Mehrdad Pourhossein<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"878\" data-end=\"1063\">Mehdi Javanmardi had previously been arrested on a charge of \u201cmurder\u201d and sentenced to death. His execution was carried out in the early hours of Wednesday, 3 December, in Rasht Prison.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1065\" data-end=\"1197\">Amir Nazari, arrested earlier on drug-related charges and sentenced to death, was executed on Saturday, 25 October, in Rasht Prison.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1199\" data-end=\"1328\">Hamed Hanifeh, also arrested on drug-related charges and sentenced to death, was executed on Sunday, 26 October, in Rasht Prison.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1330\" data-end=\"1501\">Ali Sayeh-Afkan and Mehrdad Pourhossein, both previously arrested on drug-related charges and sentenced to death, were executed on Wednesday, 26 November, in Rasht Prison.<\/p>\n<p><strong>No official report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of these prisoners has not been announced by official sources.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
