21 December 2025<\/strong> Breathing in Confinement \u2014<\/strong> At least two prisoners who were previously arrested on charges of \u201cmurder\u201d and sentenced to death have been transferred to solitary confinement cells at Qezel Hesar Prison for the implementation of their execution sentences.<\/p>\n According to information received by reporters of Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, on Sunday 21 December 2025, two prisoners held at Qezel Hesar Prison were transferred to solitary confinement in preparation for execution. The identities of these prisoners have been verified by Breathing in Confinement and are being withheld.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
