The identity of the prisoner has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement as Yazdan Elahiyari<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Yazdan Elahiyari<\/strong>, aged 32, the father of two daughters, had previously been arrested and sentenced to death on charges of murdering his wife. However, he never admitted to the murder at any stage of the judicial process. He was transferred to solitary confinement on Sunday, 3 January 2026, in preparation for the execution.
