The identity of the executed prisoner has been confirmed as <strong data-start=\"726\" data-end=\"757\">Sohrab Niroo\u00admand Mohammadi<\/strong>, and has been verified by Breathing in Confinement. The charge against him remains under investigation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"865\" data-end=\"1039\"><strong>Sohrab Niroo\u00admand Mohammadi<\/strong> had previously been arrested and sentenced to death. His execution was carried out in the early morning hours of\u00a0 Wednesday, 7 January 2026, at Bandar Abbas Prison.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"865\" data-end=\"1039\">\n<p><strong>No official report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by official sources.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
