The identity of the prisoner has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement as <strong data-start=\"741\" data-end=\"758\">Sadegh Manafi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"761\" data-end=\"979\"><strong>Sadegh Manafi,<\/strong> son of Mozafar, aged 35, had previously been arrested on charges related to \u201cdrug offences\u201d and sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Monday, 16 February 2026, in Tabriz Prison.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"761\" data-end=\"979\">\n<p><strong>No official report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by official sources.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
