The identity of the prisoner has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement as <strong data-start=\"763\" data-end=\"782\">Navid Shabanian<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"785\" data-end=\"991\"><strong>Navid Shabanian,<\/strong> a native of Kashmar, had previously been arrested on charges of \u201cmurder\u201d and sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Sunday, 15 February 2026, in Kashmar Prison.<\/p>\n<p><strong>No official report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by official sources.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Report on Executions in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the annual report by the Statistics Centre of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, at least 1,170 individuals were executed in Iran in 2024.
