5 May 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n News Group: Imprisonment Sentences \u2013<\/strong><\/p>\n Breathing in Confinement: Rasoul Salehi,<\/strong> one of those arrested during the January 2026 protests, has been sentenced to 9 years and 3 months of discretionary imprisonment.<\/p>\n According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, based on information published by Rasoul Salehi\u2019s brother<\/strong> on his account on the social media platform X, this citizen was sentenced by the Revolutionary Court on charges including \u201cproviding means for committing the crime of assembly and collusion against national security,\u201d \u201cinsulting the Supreme Leader,\u201d \u201cpropaganda activity against the regime,\u201d and \u201cspreading falsehoods,\u201d receiving a total sentence of 9 years and 3 months of discretionary imprisonment.<\/p>\n Rasoul Salehi, a resident of Yazdanshahr,<\/strong> was arrested during this year\u2019s January protests in the city.
