Breathing in Confinement:<\/strong> Some female political prisoners held in the women\u2019s ward of Evin Prison have been deprived of their basic legal rights, including telephone calls and family visits.<\/p>\n

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, a post published on the X account of Golrokh Iraee, who is imprisoned in Evin Prison, states that ten female political prisoners in the ward continue to face severe communication restrictions. According to the report, Elaha Fouladi, Forough Taghipour, Sakineh Parvaneh, Shiva Esmaili, Zahra Safaei, Golrokh Iraee, Marzieh Farsi, and Varisheh Moradi<\/strong> have been deprived of telephone calls and visits due to their opposition to executions and their support for the Tuesdays Against Execution<\/em><\/strong> campaign.<\/p>\n

The report further states that Nasim Simyari<\/strong> has been subjected to similar restrictions for speaking with her cellmate, Lindsay Foreman<\/span><\/span>.<\/strong> Lindsay Foreman and her husband, Craig Foreman<\/span><\/span>,<\/strong> had previously spoken in an interview about the difficult circumstances faced by some Iranian citizens, poor prison conditions, and the transfer of a number of political prisoners sentenced to death for execution. Reports indicate that both Lindsay and Craig Foreman remain deprived of telephone contact and visits, including both in-person and cabin visits.<\/p>\n

In response to these restrictions, Lindsay and Craig Foreman have reportedly begun a hunger strike to protest the denial of communication rights and limitations on access to legal representation. In addition, Ghazal Marzban<\/strong> is reported to be on hunger strike in protest against her sentence of nine years and eight months\u2019 imprisonment.<\/p>\n

The report further states that between 18 March and 1 June 2026, at least 41 political prisoners were executed in Iran, while death sentences have been issued against dozens of other prisoners.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
