Breathing in Confinement has confirmed the identity of the prisoner as <strong>Dariush Kalaku.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the report, <strong>Dariush Kalaku,<\/strong> a resident of Shiraz, had previously been arrested and sentenced to death on a charge of murder. The sentence was carried out in the early hours of Wednesday, 3 June 2026, in Shiraz Prison.<\/p>\n<p><strong>No official announcement<\/strong><br \/>\nAt the time of publication, no official sources had announced the execution of this prisoner.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual report on executions in Iran<\/strong><br \/>\nAccording to the annual report of the Statistical Centre of the Prisoners&#8217; Rights League in Iran, between March 2025 and March 2026, at least 2,616 individuals were executed in Iran.
