Their identities have been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement as <strong>Seyed Akbar Bani Hashem<\/strong> and <strong>Amir Abbas Dakavand<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, <strong>Seyed Akbar Bani Hashem<\/strong> had previously been arrested and sentenced to death for the murder of a man named <strong>Akbar Barghi<\/strong>. <strong>Amir Abbas Dakavand<\/strong> had also been arrested in a separate case on charges of murder and was subsequently sentenced to death.<\/p>\n<p>The death sentences were carried out in the early hours of Saturday, 13 June 2026, at Ghezel Hesar Prison.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>No official announcement<\/strong><br \/>\nAt the time of publication, no official sources had announced the execution of this prisoner.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual report on executions in Iran<\/strong><br \/>\nAccording to the annual report of the Statistical Centre of the Prisoners&#8217; Rights League in Iran, between March 2025 and March 2026, at least 2,616 individuals were executed in Iran. Of these, 12 executions were carried out in public.
