Breathing in Confinement:<\/b> Following a raid by military forces on a protest gathering in the village of Peshmouki<\/strong>, at least eight Baloch women were injured and six residents, including three women, were arrested.<\/p>\n According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners\u2019 Rights League in Iran, residents of Peshmouki<\/strong> village, in Faryab County, had gathered to protest the allocation and exploitation of local chromite mines and their transfer to influential individuals without regard for the economic interests of the impoverished local population. Military forces subsequently raided the gathering. As a result, at least eight Baloch women were injured and six residents, including three women, were arrested.<\/p>\n The names of those arrested are:<\/strong> The identities of the injured women have been reported as:<\/strong> According to local sources, Hajar Bameri<\/strong> was also beaten during the raid and sustained injuries. Her husband is reportedly among those arrested.<\/p>\n Local sources further stated that the detainees have been transferred to an undisclosed location, and their families have so far been unable to obtain reliable information regarding their whereabouts or condition.
