No information about Said Shirzad after 48 days

Breathing in Confinement – There is no information about Said Shirzad, the arrested children’s rights activist after 48 days.

According to the report of “Breathing in Confinement”, he has been arrested at his work place in the refinery of Tabriz on June 2nd and had only a short contact with his family during his detention.

And informed source who wanted to remain unknown told “Breathing in Confinement”: “ Said Shirzad called his family almost 2 weeks ago and in 30 seconds he only said he is in Evin Prison.”

“He did not have the chance to say anything more. The authorities do not give his family any information about him and his lawyer has no access to his case yet.” This source pointed out.

Said Shirzad had been arrested on August 21, 2012 while helping the people in Ahar city of East Azerbaijan province after the earthquake. He was released on the bail after 19 days.

Said Shirzad was sentenced to 1 year of suspended imprisonment by the branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran.
