Abolhassan Montazer transferred from Evin Prison to Rajai Shahr Prison

Breathing in Confinement: October 9, 2021, the political prisoner, Abolhassan Montazer, was transferred from Evin Prison to Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj. He had been held in Evin Prison since November 2020 with a sentence of 5 years in prison.
According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, on October 9, 2021, the political prisoner, Abolhassan Montazer, was transferred from Evin Prison to Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj. Mr. Montazer, the 61-year-old political prisoner, was arrested in 2018 and released on bail with completion of his interrogation awaiting the trial. Finally, Abolhassan Montazer was sentenced to five years in prison on charges of “propaganda against the regime and having links to one of the opposition groups.”
In November 2020, to serve his sentence, he was arrested and transferred to Evin Prison.
Abolhassan Montazer had also been imprisoned as a political prisoner in the 1980s. He suffers from a variety of diseases, including vascular disease as well as diabetes.
