Breathing in Confinement – Asal Mohammadi was temporarily released on bail.

According to Radio Zamaneh, on Saturday afternoon November 3, 2019, Asal Mohammadi- a member of the editorial board of GAAM magazine, was temporarily released on bail. She had been arrested in connection with protests of the workers from Ahvaz Steel Factory and Haft Tappeh Sugarcane industrial unit.

On August 4 this year, when the trial for Haft Tappeh detainees case was being held, she was arrested again and was transferred to Evin prison. Mohammadi was also detained earlier in December 2018 and then was released on bail. Tehran’s Revolutionary Court has sentenced Mohammadi to eighteen years in prison.

In addition, last Saturday, Amir Amirgholi, Amir Hossein Mohammadi Fard and Sanaz Allahyari- the other members of the editorial board of  GAAM Magazine, as well as Sepideh Gholyan- a social activist who had been arrested in connection with the protests of the Haft Tappeh workers, along with Atefeh Rangriz and Marzieh Amiri, who had been arrested  in Tehran on Labor Day assembly, were all released on bail.
