6 Death Row Sunni Prisoners Transferred to Solitary Confinements

Breathing in Confinement – 6 death row Sunni prisoners in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj have been transferred to solitary confinements to be executed.
According to the report of “Breathing in Confinement”, on 3rd March 2015, prison guards guided by intelligence officers entered the Hall 10 of ward 4 in Rajai Shahr prison, in Karaj and after inspection and transferring all the prisoners of conscience to the ward recess, they separated Hamed Ahmadi, Jamshid and Jahangir Dehghani, Kamal Molaei, Hadi Hosseini and Sadigh Mohammadi and took them with handcuffs, shackles and blindfolded to an unknown location, but according to prison authorities, they will be executed.
Following this transfer, these 6 prisoners and all other prisoners of conscience in Rajai Shahr prison, in Karaj, went on hunger strike and have declared that they will continue their hunger strike until death sentences would be overturned.
The news indicates that these prisoners had their last visit with their families.
On 3rd of March, prisoners’ families rushed to the entrance of the prison and asked the prison authorities to have a visit with their children, and until 19.00 o’clock just family of Jamshid and Jahangir Dehghani got the visit permission.
It is to say, Hamed Ahmadi, Kamal Molaei, Jamshid and Jahangir Dehghani, also were taken to solitary confinements in Ghezelhesar prison, in Karaj, on 13th June for execution, but, after widespread international protests and a 39-day hunger strike they were returned to Rajai Shahr prison, in Karaj.
